Purity Studies
Purity studies is a method that depends on properties and chemical reaction to analyze the purity of the substance, since the presence of impurities in drug substance is an extremely critical issue and can have a significant impact on the quality and safety of the drug. The International Conference of Harmonization (ICH) guidelines indicate that unknown impurities at or above 0.10% in the drug substance depending on the maximum daily dosage, should be characterized. It is the most concerning task in the modern pharmaceutical analysis to manufacturing high-quality drug. According to the clinical trials of drugs, the presence of small amounts (0.01-0.1%) of a highly mutagenic impurity produced positive mutagenicity results, therefore, the need to assess for chemical purity of drug components before the drug is formally put into use. Purity study plays an important role in the drug researches.

Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS)
We use this system to separate and identify most compounds. We used this technique for the first time screening analysis to detect compounds. We also use GC-MS to quantify cocaine, amphetamine, benzodiazepines, cannabis and other drugs.
Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS)
With this system, we can quantify substances that can be degraded at high temperatures, such as LSD or Modafinil. We can also quantify drugs that require high-precision technology, such as fentanyl.
Ion trap mass spectrometry (IT-MS)
This process is used to calculate the molecular weight of a compound and perform a pyrolysis technique to detect substances that are not recognized by GC-MS. This technique is used to study new compounds and identify any uncertain results.
High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)
We use HPLC, linked to ultraviolet detector (HPLC-UV) mainly for quantitative LSD.
Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV/Vis)
This technique is used for the quantification of MDMA and 2C-B
